Superfoods: Foods that cure

There are different kinds of food. Some can make you sick, while some can make you healthy. However, there are some that can cure you of certain diseases (or at least prevent them). These are called superfoods.

Here are some of them:

Garlic. Although garlic was used to ward against demons, monsters, and other mythical beings in the past, it is used today in a lot of dishes because of its inherent disease-fighting properties. Garlic also has anti-cancer properties because of the substance germanium. In extensive tests, garlic-fed mice in laboratories did not develop cancer. Garlic also helps regulate blood pressure by thinning the blood and is an effective antibiotic.

 

 

Cranberry juice. Because of substances found in cranberry juice, it is known for preventing and curing urinary tract infections or cystitis, which are caused by bacteria entering the urinary bladder through the urethra. These substances prevent bacteria from sticking to the walls of the bladder, preventing cystitis.

Fish. Eating fish has numerous benefits that include decrease in heart disease and stroke risks. Recent studies also prove that eating fish once a week reduces cognitive decline and the risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease. In fact the more fish you eat, the less chance you will develop Alzheimer’s in the future.

 

 

Ginger. This superfood is well known for its anti-nausea and stomach-calming properties. Ginger is also effective for alleviating the effects of arthritis.
